comment: This was pretty random... well kind of. I just had a picture of Bevan in his long black trenchcoat in the snow in my head so.. I drew it. It was influenced by all the snow fall we had yesterday and last night (some of this morning). We had 20 inches of snow. :O_o: And it's freakin' APRIL. Well.. that's Colorado for you I suppose. lol.

Anyway. Yes. I wasn't originally going to shade this but I just felt like adding some substance to it... so I did it the cheapo way by using the lasso tool in Photoshop 7.0, along with the brush here and there for the snow and mountains, and some of Bevan. I like the outcome I have to say, even though I'm almost certain there will be people who don't read this description who will assume he is a female, WHEN HE IS NOT FEMALE. :shakefist: If you know your anatomy you will be able to tell. He has no hips, some leg muscle kinda shows but the coat billows out and kinda sways so that might effect how he appears. It is kinda femme but I like it. It's pretty. And I don't do graytone pics much, so it was a nice change I think.

Well that's all for now... I'll probably work on commissions next since I'm still kinda-sorta on art block. I think doing commissions will help me out of that. :nod:

medium: 0.5mm #2 mechanical pencil, fine tip & Super Sharpie, sizes 005, 01 ZiG Millenium inking pens, medium Faber Castell on Cardstock (heavy, smooth finish). Graytones, border, and copyrights added in Photoshop 7.0.

I really like how you felt it black and white. It adds to the wintery feel of the picture. :nod: I also like the shineyness of the trenchcoat. ^^

I wish it would snow in Florida! :shakefist: I miss snow. :sniff: Could you send me some? :giggle:

Wow...I LOVE the use of black and white in this (leather is a good thing ;) )! And the depth is nicely conveyed as well!

I personally like the monotone-ness of this. Alltho a coloured version would be rather nice. yus. the BG as you said is kinda cheap but it works for this image nicely. mmm his hair and expression are great too. He seems to have a sort of "ADD moment" goin on. lol. ^__^; mer? his fingers look a tad skinny, but then again that's your style. I swear - my art teacher has seen some of your art....but jeez. If she were to have you as a student, she'd be the happiest person in the world. Cause you do everything I do but better plus more. XD

I like the black and white, along with the simple background. I remember Colorado... I miss the horses but not the snow. Also don't miss how impossible it was to drive out of our neighborhood in said snow

its pretty, the coloring and shadeing is well done, and its just pretty. i adore your drawing stlye, and he dosen't look to femaleish to me. keep up the amazing work.
