I started this as a sketch a while back, and pulled it out today to try finishing it up. :nod: So I did. :3

I was almost done with it during the beginning of my animation class... so I was working on it during class and all the guys discovered what my art looks like. And they hate me because I can draw well. >_> But that's ok. X3 I think they just hate the idea of being inferior to a girl. One that draws very femenine men at that. x3 I was reminded how so many men don't understand anatomy. They just looked at Masurao's face and assumed he was female. Well that and the clothing style. >_> Which I wouldn't blame them. I just put it out there right away that yes I know he is very femme, and yes he IS supposed to be gay. And they were all like "WOAH DEUCE" and gave me wierd looks. XD Oh well. I openly admit that I love gay femme men. :shrug: It's a weakness, perhaps.

But my teacher is pretty cool. He wants to put some of my work on display and I wouldn't mind that at all. I just want to scan it first so I could have a copy of it while it's up.

So that's what this was. I scanned this one at the school using their scanner (it was an EPSON). So the quality's a little different.

Oh yeah. And obviously I changed his outfit a bit. I'd been debating making this change for quite some time. And I decided to do it because I just know I'd get even more crap if I left it the way it was (with the pants open at the crotch, showing the tightness of his top.) I'm also debating giving him human-like genetalia but it's still iffy since so many people have done it too. Even though I was the first one who thought of it as far as I know... I'd just decided to take a different approach with the use of the slit/internal genetalia. But I might go back to my original idea I dunno yet.

Overall this will be the verson of Masurao for my animation. I also plan to use Bevan in the animation too... so I'll be designing him some simplified clothing for that. There's no way I'd animate his tribal outfit. It'd be kick-ass but it would be a pain. They're gonna be in a versus fight scene. :nodnod: Kenny gave me the idea. XD

medium: .05mm lead mechanical pencil for shading/sketch, 01 and 03 ZiG Millenium inking pens for lineart.

Wow, I really like when you shade with just a pencil, I'm so envious because you make it look so smooth. and I'll love massy no amtter what form he takes. *remembers the day she first saw him and sighs* XD
and..wait..I thought Masurao was bi..or was that changed? I'm cnofused...

hmm. I'm still undecided. xD Either way, he does like other men. ^^;

And thankie for the compliments hun! :heart: Yeah, shading with a pencil can be hard sometimes, especially if the edge of the lead is sharp. It's hard to get smooth shading like that, but if it's more dull it can be quite easy. :nod:

I really like this, although something about his arms put me off. But that doesn't matter, because everything else about this is really awesome, and definitely one of the best of your more recent works imo. The shadings awesome, and his face is gorgeous <3. Great job!

Nice work! I have to be honest I kinda barely registered the slight change in the outfit, but I'm really liking the way the "streamlining" of his look's going--it's a far cray from his original armoured look, but it's working. :)

I think over and above how him looking "feminine" informs on his character, I'm also beginning to think it gives him a certain rather elegant look while still getting across the whole asskicking thing. :)
