Commission #1 of [Nascu] for ~selectiveamnesia! I have to say I'm not really used to drawing anthros with snouts (in fact I rather dislike them >.>;; ) but I think this turned out quite well. The second of her commissions will follow shortly. :3

Time: 1 hour 30 mins (approx)

Music: FullMetal Alchemist: Complete Best (+ all the singles including instrumental versions and other songs by the artists), FullMetal Alchemist: Hagaren Song Files for Ed, Al, and Roy.

Completed: June 18th 2005

Medium: #2 .05mm lead mechanical pencil, medium Faber Castell inking pen, Fine tip Sharpie on cardstock (heavy, smooth finish).

Beautiful lineart. Great work on the snout too.

You draw very realistic hair, it flows very well, for some reason my hair seems a bit rough, and I have difficulty making such smooth strokes. The subject's hair (on his head and tail :3 ) is really nice...might I add...NEAT signature...I wish I had a signature like that!!

Yeah, hair is interesting to get down... I dunno, it's always seemed to come easily for me.

you just gotta loosen up your arm and hand and make quick curved strokes I guess. Best way to explain it.

ps You're allowed to cut his snout off if it's too hard to work with ya know. Artistic license

oh. x3 no worries. I didn't know wether or not you wanted me to keep his snout or not since most artists who draw snouted anthros would rather see their characters drawn that way.

And don't worry about the refs. I just suggest lightening the colors. A reference should be pretty readable and dark colors with dark lineart is really hard to see.

So even if you lightened his fur to a shade lighter than what it really is, you could always note somewhere to the side that his fur is actually supposed to be a darker color.

Aside from that it was a pretty good ref. ^^ Served its purpose and that's what's important. ^^

I'm also happy you like it!

Also I wanted to ask if you wanted me to color this one, or the one I'll be drawing of him shirtless?
